Once again my weight has not changed but you know I am not too worried about it because I feel good 🙂 We went to a friend’s wedding this weekend and there was so much food that I couldn’t eat and I did not feel deprived at all, not even when cake was handed out! Beautiful cake too.
It was so good to see old friends and just relax! Congrats to Wayne and Megan!
Now here is the weigh in
Don’t loose faith in the process when in a stall, I have been in a stall for a while but I am not too worried and will continue to eat Keto.
Well my weight is still the same but I had an unexpected monthly visitor this week. So next week the scale should move….hopefully! I have been better about tracking my meals.
I do want to share a new waffle recipe I tried and we loved this morning! The basic recipe can be found at Low Carb yum.
I omitted the salt and oil and did 1/2 c heavy cream, then I added Hershey’s sugar free chocolate chips. This made 2 nice sized waffles in my waffle maker. After the waffles cooked I added butter and sliced strawberries as a garnish. The waffles were so good that we did not even add syrup! I forgot to take a picture but promise I will next time! Keto on my friends!
I have been in a stall since my surgery in May 2017 and was starting to doubt the WOE till I compared a facial picture from April 2017 to September 2017.
I am down roughly 30 pounds in almost 10 months, most of the loss occured before my surgery at the end of May 2017 BUT look at the facial difference! I still haven’t figured out what is stalling me but this picture is very encouraging to me!
I need to get serious about tracking everything that goes into my mouth again and just get back to basics for a while. Hopefully that will kick start my weight loss again. What do you do during a stall to break it?
We have been wanting to do this experiment for a while now and I found carnations for $1 a piece last week at our local Hyvee. First I made a stand to keep the cats from nocking them over, we have 3 onry kitties 🙂 Next we found long and tall glass containers that we have used in previous experiments. Filled them half way with water and added food coloring. Finally we cut the stems of the carnations at an angle and placed them in the colored water.
I have been trying to find the perfect log for our home-school hours and have yet to find one that meets all our needs. So I have sat down and looked at all the ones I thought would work and came up with a super simple way for me to log hours and I hope it can help you too!
You Tube has wonderful videos about the company Melaleuca, some others are claiming the company is a scam and fraudulent. I would like to share my personal experience with this company.
When I found Melaleuca I was looking for a company that I could make money with from home that had affordable products, environmentally friendly, and did not require me to keep products on hand or do parties to sell them. That is what I found in Melaleuca and I have fallen in love with the products. I have been a member since September 2010 and I will never go back to using store bought and chemical laden products in my home. I have not made money with the company and that is okay because for myself and my family the products are enough. I have reviewed a few products here and here. My very first order with Melaleuca was the home conversion kit and I reviewed it here.
You can replace each product you use in your home with Melaleuca products for about the same price and you pay in stores. The products are concentrated ( meaning one bottle has 3-6 refills in it ) and environmentally friendly. They carry products in Nutrition, Medicine Cabinet, Beauty, Household, Bath & Body, Essential Oils, Kids, Animals and Extra savings where you can buy in bulk and save even more!
These were so good! They reminded me of my sugar cookie recipe that I use at christmas time, this year I will use this recipe to replace that one. I am going to experiment with it though to make it a cut-out cookie recipe, I will post when I get it right! These cookies are very good just out of the oven but a little crumbly. I suggest placing them in the fridge for a while before eating so they firm up a bit.
Well that is all for now. We have started out 2017-18 homeschool year so once I get Little Man going I will have new posts up. Until then please share my blog and help me build my following. Time for a give away!!
How is everyone? Been a couple of weeks since my last update. We are doing great and still loving the Keto lifestyle 🙂 My son is down 11 pounds and I am down 25!
In 100 days I have lost a little over 25 pounds! I am so excited about that and I am still in amazement that this has worked for me and continues to work. Never in my life have I found a diet that is so easy to follow and stick to! For my next 100 day goal I am looking to lose 20 more pounds and workout at least 3 days a week. My son and I are almost done with our school year and then we can start going on bike rides, hikes and dog walks on the mornings that are nice. I am hoping to tone up and get my son into a healthier habit frame of mind. I would like to break the cycle of bad habits and health in my family.
Please help me build my blog and make my way into being a stay at home mom in the future. Here is a link to my give away!
Hello all and how is everyone doing? I just enjoyed the best weekend yet this year. Perfect weather and got a lot of yard work accomplished. We planted 3 new trees; one peach, one apple and one japanese maple. The maple is my absolute favorite tree! Our local Sutherlands had a 50% off trees and shrubs sale this weekend and I took full advantage. After yard work saturday I was so sore and had so much nerve pain but it has subsided. I gained almost 4 pounds in inflammation and water retention saturday into sunday but by this evening it is gone.
Now I want to share a recipe I came up with today:
2 mushroom caps with a pat of butter
We had some leftover turkey from this weekend so I added it on top of the butter and put garlic salt on.
A slice of provolone cheese and then cooked for 15-20 mins at 350
These were so yummy!
Alright on to my weigh in:
I finally hit the 20 pound mark! I am so excited about this 🙂 Tomorrow I get to go get a new hair cut. Keto on my friends!
Hello friends and family! How is everyone doing? I found free little cookbook I want to share with you, Lowcarbyum.com. I also made soul bread from her site and OMG it was so good!
Just look at that sandwhich! It was SO good to finally find a “bread” that works for us 🙂
Each slice is just about 1 carb each. The next time I make it I will slice them thinner because they are dense and very filling. Perfect for toasting and putting a big slice of butter on top. Soul Bread is my new favorite 🙂
Now onto my weigh in:
I am down almost another 2 lbs 🙂 I am well on my way to meeting my first goal of 25 lbs in 100 days with about 25 days left. I am slow to lose but I am still losing and feeling great! I started my son on his keto journey last week and he is down 2lbs and I am so proud of him. Keto on friends and family!
