A few years back we made an advent wreath that I hope will become something that is passed down to the next generations. I simply purchased a white styrofoam wreath, green garland, holly hock (little red berries) 3 purple candles, 1 pink candle and 1 white candle and put them together to create the wreath:
When Little Man was a couple years older we and our co-op at the time made this for the kids to have their own wreath.
If this is something you would like to do with your kiddos you can find it here as a free printable. This was a fun activity and if you print it out on cardstock it should be durable enough to use for a couple of years.
If you are not an artsy type a quick google search for Advent Wreath Coloring pages will bring you some free printables. We have done this one in the past and I really like the simplicity of it.
Here is a free printable for your Advent wreath;
Count down to Christmas Scripture Day 1 :
Isaiah 7:14, Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign; The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son and will call him Emmanuel.
